I Could...

This is a cap from my archive - see this post for more detail. This one was an interesting cap from a few years back when I was on Tumblr more regularly prior to the Great Tumblr Purge of 2018. Tumblr became a breeding ground for quick caps/pics with minimal text overlay that I had mixed feelings about; on the one hand, the simplistic sexual imagery and brief text "story" got the job done and left room for your mind to fill in the fantasy as you pleased, but I also felt that it was a source of laziness that missed the artistic soul I value in TG captions. It was also somewhat frustrating when I was struggling with writer's block trying to come up with a good story to see these basic blurbs slapped together, sent out at a rate of a dozen a day, and get tons of reblogs and follows with little to no effort. I suppose I could have joined the bandwagon, but instead I opted to produce this little commentary piece on what those quick caps were lacking. Enjoy!

Alpha Club

This is a cap from my archive - see this post for more detail. This cap is a nod to the wonderful 3-part "Alpha Club" series by Trisha on Fictionmania and the excellent alpha/beta caps of realfield/Candy who I have now joined in captioning retirement.

DeviantArt

So a bit of a different post today. There is no caption...instead there are lots of captions! As I mentioned in the original post summarizing my re-retirement, my original retirement was not complete and I did migrate to a few other sites to create TG caption content. For those of you who were unaware, the primary place I was producing pieces was on DeviantArt. Feel free to check that out if you've not visited and if you were aware then hopefully there are some old favorites to get reacquainted with!

A few comments about DA and those pieces. First, it's worth noting that the majority of the caps are blocked by an age/mature content filter - you may have to create an account to get access, but you can also "cheat" the system by filling in a Date of Birth that's at least 21. That was one of my largest struggles with DA; given that their platform has certain content restrictions, I often felt that my creativity and story-telling ability was restricted to less sexual and more simple tales of TG transformations (or even more importantly image selection). I actually had a piece or two removed early on and that really put a damper on my willingness to push the boundaries.

Another note about DA caps is that it reflected my shifting interests at the time. While there is certainly a variety of options in my main tropes like bimbos, hypnosis, family transformations, etc, a large number of caps were dedicated to drag queen themed caps, in particular my Feminarchy 2027 series that was originally a collab and then the unfinished Dolly Saga which I would argue was one of my best works ever (up until the writer's block hit and retirement came calling instead). If those themes aren't your cup of tea, I also recommend The Polisher series that I wrote as a good first-person feminization series.

Finally, one of the things I valued most about DeviantArt was some of the excellent other artists I discovered on that site and would never have been exposed to if I had not ventured into that arena. While I cannot list all the captioners and pieces I enjoyed from my time wandering through DA land, special shoutouts to rosenight26hashtagwokekatiebeetgbloodytissueeeee, and furcoatvegan as captioners who I met through DA and have a large treasure trove of caps that are right up my alley. I'll be taking a little longer break between caps given the volume of options to explore on DA, but if you have extra time check out those captioners!

World Cup Redux

This is a cap from my archive - see this post for more detail. To explain how old this cap is, it was written for a fellow soccer fan around the time of the 2016 Olympics. Given that the Women's World Cup is going on and multiple allusions are still relevant, I figured now would be an appropriate time to public. Go Team USA!
